Lovin’ the country

We got to help celebrate my nephew’s graduation from high school this weekend! My sister hosted a big party at her beautiful home in the country. Of course, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to take some photos. I’m still working on those portraits, as you can see!

I haven’t moved these photos over yet! You can view them onĀ my old photo page.

Portraits, Part 3

It’s very rare to find me in front of the camera! I really don’t like to see photos of myself! My daughter snapped a few photos of me today, and surprisingly enough, I actually liked them!!

We took the photos in the middle of the day, but in a shady spot. I’ve trained her to tilt the camera just a little when she is shooting. Using the portrait mode on the camera gives it that blurred background effect. I guess that proves that even a 7 year old can take a good photo!

Portraits, Part 1

I’m working on taking better portraits. I’m forcing myself to use only my 50 mm lens, and I’m trying to focus more on finding good lighting. You might be seeing several blogs posts in a row of the portraits I’ve been taking!
