Follow the leader

As you can see from the following photos, Jayda is absolutely starved for attention. Whether we are at co-op, church or a social function, the friends of her brothers and sisters all greet her with excited, “Jay-Jay!”s. Kids take turns holding her or pushing her in her stroller. She is like baby sister to the world.
Today, we went to home-school swim. All of the moms were cracking up when we looked over to see Jayda leading the big kids in a game of “Jayda Says.”
She would stomp, touch the ground, pat her tummy or walk around, and this group of girls would follow her, doing whatever action she showed them.

Can you say, “SPOILED!”?

On my mind

The last few weeks have been a swirl of highs and lows. Sometimes it’s hard to put into words. Sometimes it’s not appropriate. Often it’s better left unsaid.

Here’s what’s on my mind:

cancer
heartache
lies
rejection
old age
math
tuition
laundry
groceries
trying to fit in
reaching out to those who need a friend
birthdays
encouragement
joy
sunshine
love
truth
forgiveness
restoration
grace

How about you? What are the top 5 things you’ve been thinking about lately?

Catalog shopper

We got an American Girl catalog in the mail today, and Jayda thought she would take a look. I thought it was hilarious to see her sitting on the steps reading it like it’s her own little newspaper.
